Discmania Horizon DD1 – Stratosphere – Red, 173 g, Condition: B+

The Discmania Horizon DD1 – Stratosphere is a long-flying and controllable distance driver that was originally released as a special disc in Discmania's 2022 Stratosphere Edition Mystery Box. The release also marked the debut of the new DD1 mold as well as the Horizon plastic in Discmania's Originals line.

With flight ratings of 11 | 5 | -1 | 2, the DD1 offers great glide, a moderate turn, and a reliable yet reasonable fade at the end. In terms of its characteristics, it sits as a slightly slower and more manageable distance driver than the DD3.

🌌 Horizon Plastic

Horizon is Discmania's premium plastic, recognizable by its two-tone construction. According to Discmania, Horizon offers excellent grip and durability, and the Stratosphere DD1 was the first Originals disc to feature this plastic blend.

🌠 Stratosphere Edition

This is the original Stratosphere Edition Horizon DD1, which was the headline product of the 2022 Stratosphere Mystery Box. This sets it apart from later Horizon DD1 releases and makes it an interesting option for those collecting special Discmania releases.

🎯 Controllable Distance

The DD1 is designed to offer the distance of a distance driver in a package that is slightly easier to handle than the DD3. The speed 11 and good glide make it useful for both long drives on open fairways and for wooded fairways that require more precise control.

🚀 For Long S-Lines

The -1 turn helps the disc turn slightly at higher launch speeds, after which the 2 fade brings the flight reliably back. The Stratosphere run is also known for its fairly straight flight and ease of generating distance.

The red coloring combined with the two-tone appearance of the Horizon plastic makes the disc visually striking. The weight of 173 grams offers a good balance of distance potential and controllability.

Condition: B+

The disc is in good used condition with minor signs of wear. It is fully ready for use and still offers excellent flight characteristics.
